Sherwood Roberts is a UK based multi-instrumentalist composer.
Drawing inspiration from all shades of life, his work is both reflective and cinematic.
““In every corner of our house someone was either playing an instrument or listening to music. We had a piano from my maternal grandma; she was a pianist in London in the 1940’s before emigrating Down Under. I remember sitting at that piano in the summer after my final year as Head Chorister of Salisbury Cathedral and writing an original composition for the first time. It was euphoric really. I’ve tried to channel the intensity of that feeling in my music ever since. I hope there is an emotional resonance with my listeners – a sense that they’re listening to one of my pieces at the right time.”
He released his debut album Beginnings in 2020 amassing over 9 million streams worldwide. “Beginnings is a collection of songs I have been playing around with for years, themes from my life. I suppose they are the things I wanted to say with words but could not, sound bites from a journal of sorts.”
His new single ‘Under The Moonlight’ is out now. It’s the 5th single taken from his upcoming sophomore album ‘Curiosity’ recorded on 1910 felt Blüthner upright at The Barn with the talented producer Gus White.
